Rocco Baldelli’s time running out as Twins teeter on collapse
The Minnesota Twins (79-71) are in dangerous territory, and their manager might start to feel the heat.
Hi, everyone!
I’ve covered MLB for most of the 2024 season, but I’ve hardly talked about the Minnesota Twins.
With less than two weeks left in the regular season, their slump has left them in a very precarious spot.
It got me wondering about the future of their manager, Rocco Baldelli. How much is he responsible for the general lack of urgency around the Twins in recent seasons? And how is he dealing with the pressure that's already building?
It's not a good situation in Minnesota right now. Baldelli may not be the one playing, but he still bears some responsibility.
Can the Twins turn their season around and, in doing so, save his job?

Thank you!
It's definitely time for results from Baldelli. That 2019 breakout was so unsustainable and I can't really think of much they've done aside from signing Correa that's not just league average. Makes sense that a change in tone with a new manager could be the key to unlock it
